I found a great little poster on Pinterest about how the arts teaches us 10 things. I thought it was perfect to share with my art classes one day. I started to read them and think about my own connections to each number. One of the ones that really stood out was #7 Improve by accepting constructive feedback. I think this one was the hardest for me when I went to art school and was constantly compared to the other illustration students. Being an artist really makes to take a step back and look at what you have done, take constructive criticism and evaluate what you need to do to move forward. It took a lot to always move forward from the criticism and not make it mean I shouldn't be in the art class. I am glad I was able to take the criticism and use it to create the artist I am today, helping other discover the joy of art.
